PEOPLE-ORIENTED STORIES

TEDxUNYP 2019

This talk is my way to help others by sharing my own story.

-----

During my studies, I've used my own story as a topic for a short documentary and a podcast. These works allowed me to be invited as a guest speaker or TEDxUNYP 2019. I felt it was important to share my own experience with cancer to help other patients and their families better understand and hopefully avoid the mental challenges that may arise even after the end of the treatments.

Warmth & Joy

During my internship in 2019, I was assigned to write an article about the Rwandan community in Luxembourg.

-----

Delano Magazine has a series of articles focusing each time on a different community of expatriates living in Luxembourg. I had the pleasure to find 2 interviewees from Rwanda and ask them questions related to their lives in the Grand-Duchy.

On the rails to victory

During my internship in 2019, I had the pleasure of interviewing the best tram driver in Europe.

-----

Luxembourg has only started using trams in the recently, which is why it was even more of a happy surprise when Mr.Guerreira won 1st place at a competition gathering tram drivers from all over Europe. I interviewed him and took his picture inside and outside of the tram he drives every day at work.

Steamers of Luxembourg

During my internship in 2019, I decided to focus on an interesting community: the steamers of Luxembourg.

-----

I found out online about an upcoming Steam Punk festival happening in Luxembourg so I decided to research and find 'steamers' to interview. I gathered 4 interviews total to shine some light on a very unique style and sub-culture.

The Cell - Documentary

In this assignment we were tasked to create a  promotional website for our 7-minute-long documentaries.

-----

For this project I chose to focus on a very personal topic: my own experience as a cancer patient. I conducted research about the topic of cancer and childhood cancer, created a schedule, budget, call sheet, booked equipment at my school, and wrote a script. Once the documentary film finished, we were tasked to create a promotional website for said documentary.

The link found above is a direct link to the website I designed which includes a short trailer, the list of the crew members who helped me film and record the documentary,  information and statistics concerning the subject of cancer, the synopsis of the documentary as well as some behind the scenes images taken during the filming process.
